from 214 reviewsLove my x1 — it has easily exceeded my already high expectations! The install was a blast and the team & co were wonderful!
I LOVE my X1! I use it for play and for work.
Well build quality, convenience design. Worth thousand's words. Thank you guys!!!
The bracket is exactly what I needed. It gives a bit of a lift so that the awning clears the opened hatch with greater ease. It also pushes the awning just enough away from the topper framing. It’s well fabricated light, compact, efficient, with proper hole placement. I would note that the 2-sided long t-nuts seen on the SP’s website did not come with mine, rather single t-nuts were included. Outdated image for the product?
Took the X1 down to Warm Springs over the weekend; for a family fishing trip. We were not expecting it to rain; but the X1 performed flawlessly. We have been using the upper tent area for the kids to sleep, while we have been sleeping “downstairs” on a truck bed conforming mattress. Can’t be happier, we are looking forward to many more trips like this in the future
At 6 feet tall, the Crash Pad is perfect for me. It extends the bed enough for my pillow to rest upon. This gives additional space in the foot area of the tent. No more smashed toes or cramped sleeping-bag foot pockets. The pad also tucks nicely out of the way when the tent is closed. Excellent accessory for the X1.
After looking at several different campers for my tundra i decided to get with super pacific! The quality of these campers are insane. You won’t regret this purchase!
We picked up our X1 almost a month ago and have done a couple quick overnighters near home. So far we love it! Having the extra space when set up at camp to store stuff or dwell in the truck bed below and sleep up high has been great. I feel like a kid again sleeping in a tree house fort with great views from up high ... and mentally I feel more comfortable up high off the ground in bear / mountain lion country. We look forward to making some custom accessories for it and using it for MANY years to come. We aren't afraid of using this as I'm sure it will stand the test of time and use with how well it's made!
Great experience picking up camper yesterday in Portland. I arrived early and the crew got to work. I appreciate the tour - the entire operation is top notch. Really like the X1 now that I see it in person and it is on the truck. It is extremely well engineered and well made. I love the sleek design and also appreciate the whole rig fits in my garage. I look forward to outfitting it and putting it to use.
Got my camper installed at the Portland factory. It was a really great experience, the staff were all super cool and eager to help and explain everything to do with the camper. Touring the factory was neat, seeing the detail and effort put into each camper made me feel really good about my purchase. I have already started to geek out by adding my own touch to the interior. I purchased some home organization rails and attachments from home depot and attached them to the interior using the mounting ports and screws. Can’t wait to take the rig out fishing with the family!!
My X1 has been great so far! After my install I headed down the Oregon coast and then into the Sierra’s Lassen National forest. I’ve encountered rain, wind, heat and cold and the X1 has performed admirably. Multiple people have asked about it and are impressed by the build quality. From here I have a month’s camping ahead of me as I wind my way home to Tampa, FL. I’m very pleased with my purchase!
Great bag for storing 1lb propane bottles, water hoses, small cooking pans, and just stuff!!!!! I would suggest getting the 65lb struts for the doors, $25 for each one. If you start putting a lot of stuff in your bags. Have fun out there!!!!!
What a great experience yesterday getting my new Super Pacific camper shell installed and getting a walk thru of the construction and use of it! I drive straight to a dispersed camping spot and spent my first night under the stars. They thought of everything when they designed the X1, I’m really pleased. Now a long road trip back down to Southern California camping the whole way.
The folks at Super Pacific created such a well thought out product. I love how I can still use my truck as a truck and its so modular that I can have variations of my camping setup depending on seasons.
I am enjoying the convince of pulling off and creating a home right away.
I have a 180 awining which has added bonus space and shade which is great for the hot temps. Add a bit of outdoor space for cooking and hanging out. I am happy with this camper. Thank you all.
"My camper is a Super Pacific X1. It’s equal parts functional adventure camper and engineering feat. After years of research, I landed on the lightweight wedge camper as the solution for my needs. There are a handful of brands making different variations of wedge campers these days, some good, some bad, some different. Ultimately, this one ended up fitting my needs the most."

"Rugged outdoor adventures and aerospace technology aren’t two things that you naturally associate together. But Super Pacific's recently-launched Switchback X1 camper brings aerospace materials and manufacturing processes to the overlanding scene. And it’s neat as hell."

"It’s easy to look at the X1 and notice its sculpted lines that are at home on both current futuristic truck models like the ’24 Tundra and older somewhat rounded body styles like my ’19 F-150. But underneath its attractive appearance are structural elements and details that make it a DIYer’s playground."

"If you’re looking for a lightweight truck camper with finessed design, this is your match. The tent is super easy to set up and take down, even with the insulation kit and mattress inside."
